Women’s Engineering Explorations (WE2) (Aquaponics)

Women’s Engineering Explorations (WE2) offers female high school students (grade 9-11) Introduction to Engineering on July 9-13 and Aquaponics on July 16-20, 9-4pm. During the first week, girls will explore the profession and research being done in the fields of Bioengineering, Civil, Environmental, Electrical and Mechanical engineering. During week 2: exposure to research, agriculture, technology, design, and farming will help Philadelphia girls work through scenarios in labs and in the community. PA MESA Day Regional Competition

MESA Day is an annual engineering, math and science competition that is held in each MESA state. Women in STEM Summer Camp

Temple University’s Women in STEM program invites female high school students entering grades 9 through 12 to learn about careers in STEM and develop real-world problem-solving skills through this two-week, non-credit summer pre-college program. You’ll meet other motivated students who are considering majoring in a STEM field in college, as well as dedicated instructors and alumni who are leading the way in architecture, engineering, urban studies, computer science, health, and more.
